Ever dreamed of spending your days in a quaint Coastal Town, mingling with local visitors, whipping up French toast and running a Bed and Breakfast? Our Inn is located in a charming Coastal Town in Rhode Island with fantastic beaches and prides itself on being a warm home away-from-home for adult guests of all backgrounds and cultural diversity. Our property is over two acres of Tuscany villa bliss, encompassing a pool, hot tub, koi pond, and garden and hosts guests across our eight suites.

 

We are looking for a couple to manage our B&B who are passionate about guest experiences, both on property and in the surrounding community and who will make guests feel welcome, cared for, and excited to return to the Rhode Island community for many years to come. Given the size of the property and its multiple areas for hosting, we would like innkeepers who have a successful history of not only providing unique and thoughtful guest experiences but also managing events on site. The Innkeepers must be able and willing to manage and execute all aspects of Inn management and to oversee support staff who will assist the innkeepers with ongoing maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities. Responsibilities

    • On-site presence at the Inn for greeting guests and visitors.
    • Creating an environment where guests feel welcome and cared for
    • Responding to guest needs and acting as an onsite concierge to assist with the guest experience.
  • Managing all aspects of the reservations process, including Guest Check-in and Check-out
  • Preparing and serving breakfast and assisting with or supervising cleanup
    • Identifying opportunities for additional bookings as well as guest experiences
    • Partnering with local organizations, businesses, and wedding vendors to increase bookings.
    • Verifying and assisting with overall cleanliness and maintenance of all areas of the Inn to ensure a positive guest experience.
    • Managing and monitoring housekeeping tasks, and when needed, stepping in to assist where needed. 
    • Identifying opportunities for additional bookings as well as guest experiences
    • Partnering with local organizations, businesses, and wedding vendors to increase bookings.

 

Requirements

  • Relationship management skills, collaborative and open to feedback
  • Initiative-taking and target driven with a proven track record in sales and customer engagement.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven experience in a hospitality business or possess transferable skills that align to Innkeeping.
  • Exceptional knowledge of MS Office and technologically proficient at operating software platforms (navigate check-ins, communicate with guests virtually, etc.)
  • Ability to build productive business and professional relationships.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create & deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs to increase events and stays.

 

Job Type: Full-time, Year-Round

 

Compensation: Compensation is based on experience. This is a live-in position where the Innkeepers will be provided onsite housing (lovely oversized, one-bedroom apartment), utilities and a food allowance.
