We are a family owned and operated hotel in Port Aransas, Texas. We are looking for a full-time couple to join our team. We need a strong couple that are both responsible and willing to train others. If you have over 5 years' experience in a hotel management role, as well as strong knowledge of the hospitality industry, we encourage you to apply.
The couple that we hire will have an apartment on property that includes a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. You will live on property, working 6 days a week, 1 day off, and on a rotating on call schedule. Maintenance generally works from 8am-4pm, and housekeeping works from 9am-finished. Our hotel is an outside hotel, and it is 100+ degrees during summer. If you can not handle the heat, this job will not be for you. We will do a background check and drug test, as well as random drug testing. You must be friendly with customers, as this is one of the main parts of our facility is customer interaction. MAINTENANCE MANAGER
We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of our company's facilities. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. A great maintenance manager will have a solid understand of plumbing and electrical systems as well as remodeling skills. They will be well-versed in all maintenance processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a hotel management or maintenance management role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Train, supervise, work alongside, and motivate employees in the maintenance department
- carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
- Coordinate work needed and performed by all in maintenance department and front office
- Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates

Prioritize the maintenance repairs of company equipment and parts, including but not limited to:
- Sprinkler system on property
- Riding John Deer Lawn Mower
- Weed eater, blower, snake, various tools
- Window Air Conditioning units
- Plumbing fixtures
- Electrical fixtures
- Control and monitor maintenance inventory items
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are cleaned, fueled and in proper working order
- Implement safety policies and procedures for the department
- Sweeping and power-washing property grounds and building as needed
- Mowing and weed eating as needed
- Repairing problems as they occur
- Remodeling hotel rooms
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA will be an advantage
- Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus
- 5+ years experience in maintenance management role
- Proven experience as maintenance manager or other managerial role
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of maintenance and engineering concepts, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Abilities to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Activator/self-motivator to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility
- Demonstrated excellent verbal communication skills
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail
HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER
We are looking for a reliable Housekeeping Manager that would be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the housekeeping department in accordance with federal, state, and local stands and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all offices, concourses, seating areas, washrooms, breakfast rooms, suites, and all public spaces.
- Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
- Daily supervision of the housekeeping staff
- Alert front desk to any needed supplies and low inventories
- Ascertain that hotel rooms are properly stocked with supplies that guests are entitled to
- Supervise housekeepers
- Investigate complaints
- Report on lost-and-found property
- Make recommendations about improvements
- Conduct inspections of all rooms and public areas
- Train all new housekeeping staff members
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct
- Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment; make arrangements with maintenance department for repair of used or damaged equipment for use or in public areas.
- Alerting front desk when kitchen unit supplies are low
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- a Minimum of 5 years experience in previous management with a team of housekeeping employees through motivation, coaching, and development
- Proven experience supervising housekeeping departments of 3+ employees
- The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direct quickly and multitask
- Working knowledge of room management
- Advanced knowledge of housekeeping process and procedures
- Proven excellence in customer service
- Capable of using independent judgement/solid decision making skills ability
- Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele, both inside and outside of the company.

- Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills
