My husband recently lost his job, and I'm thinking about asking my boss for a raise. How should I approach him?

Getting fired, unfortunately, can happen to the best of us. It can happen even when it's not your fault. There could be a personality conflict between yourself and your supervisor. Your idea of what the job was going to be like might differ from what management was thinking. You could have simply screwed up. It happens. You're not alone.

Given the number of career and job searching sites that are available online, I'm always a little surprised when someone comes along with a new site that addresses a need in the market.It's nice to know that there are sites that are ahead of the curve and concepts that haven't been covered yet.

The American culture is obsessed. We are obsessed it seems, with all the things that are counter-productive to our very existence. We know that the love of money is the root of all evil, but we continue to chase after things. Bigger cars, houses, stuff. The Jones’ are our worst enemy, and our worst enemy is ourselves.

Working abroad can be an exciting, rewarding and horizon broadening experience; and if you take the time to plan ahead carefully before you go, you will make your transition into the overseas work place a smooth and successful one.
